ALEXIS’S RESTAURANT – BAR

Situated in the centre of the village, Alexis’s restaurant- bar is one of the oldest and most popular places in Aghios Gordios. Alexis’s family owns this restaurant for 23 years. In all this time they created a unique, cozy place by renovating the interior as a cave and the garden as one of the coolest spots in the village.

The kitchen offers traditional Greek food, cooked by mama Voula. She uses only organic vegetables, straight of their own farm, with great care to the detail, as a Greek woman would do at her own home. You should try all the dishes and especially the “specials”, as Lamb “Kleftiko”.

Our place is opened all day long, starting with delicious breakfasts (including fresh eggs, fruits, greek yogurt and the… best coffee in town) and stays open till late. The service is fast and friendly and Alexis with his unique character will make your holiday an unforgettable experience. Most possible you ‘l find yourself (when leaving Corfu) a…” member” of this greek family. After all, what both Alexis and Vagelis say to everybody is “you enter here as a customer, you leave as a friend…” Find out for yourself…

Welcome to Agios Gordios

Agios Gordios lies on the west coast of the Greek island of Corfu, on the Ionian Sea, 16km (10 miles) west of the island's capital and chief port, Corfu Town, and 16km (10 miles) from the airport.
 The village is backed by
rugged limestone hills supporting olive groves and cypresses.                                                           Agios Gordios beach iis 1km (0.6 mile) long, 40m (131ft) wide beach has been awarded a Blue Flag. The south end, overlooked by Agios Gordios Hotel, is sandy, though it becomes progressively more pebbly towards the north end where the Pink Palace is situated. There are sun beds and umbrellas for hire, plus water sports such as banana boats, peddle boats, canoes and motor boats. Along the beach runs a row of down-to-earth traditional tavernas and low-key cocktail bars. At the south end, a dramatic rocky outcrop known as ortholith rises up from the sea.
